Improvisation is the most direct, effective pathway for learning how to shift out of the defensive, self-protective mode of thinking that narrows our field of choices for how to respond under stress and limits our ability to see the actual range of possibilities in response to challenges. This workshop will explore 6 creative thinking skills learned through improvisation, and demonstrate how they expand awareness for enhanced problem-solving, communication and group collaboration. We will discuss the applications of these skills within groups and classes.

You will learn:

6 creative thinking skills learned through improvisation games and exercise;

Games and exercises that can be used in groups and classes to teach specific communication and thinking skills;

How direct experience with improvisation enhances the learning and change process.
